Ohio doctor charged with exposing himself to girl at bus stop

YOUNGSTOWN, OH (WKBN) - A local neurologist is facing public indecency charges, accused of exposing himself to a girl at a north side bus stop.

Dr. Robert Brocker, Jr., 64, was arrested on Thursday morning but later released from the Mahoning County Jail.

Investigators say he groomed a young girl by frequenting a bus stop on Burlington Street, where he would speak to her. Police say that's where he exposed himself to the girl.

Police began investigating Brocker last fall. They're asking anyone who witnessed strange behavior by him to call the Youngstown Police Department.

Mercy Health says Brocker is not an employee of Mercy Health, but Mercy Health's website said he is affiliated with Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, St. Elizabeth Health Center and St. Joseph Health Center.

"He has been affiliated with two of our hospitals and has been removed from the call list. We will continue to serve our patients as we have for more than a century," said spokesman Jonathon Fauvie.

His practice is at Youngstown Neurological Associates.

An office manager at the practice said they are supporting Brocker and believe that he is "innocent until proven guilty."
