ROSS CO., OH (WCMH) - Authorities in Ross County are on the scene of a possible drowning in Paint Creek.
According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, a dive team has been searching for a body in the creek since early this morning. Sheriff George Lavender's office received reports that an 18-year-old male had gone into the water around 3:15am.
Divers and boats are currently in the water. The sheriff's office says the water level is a bit higher than normal from recent rains. Crews are working to shut down the water flow from Paint Creek Lake to lower the water levels in order to make the search easier. The process could take several hours.
