COLUMBUS, OH (WCMH) - The 15th annual OhioHealth Cap City Half Marathon begins in just a few hours.
This year’s race will feature brand new courses so runners can have “the best tour of Columbus on two feet.”
Traffic is expected to be heavy on Saturday, and several road closures are in place. The following streets are closed until 2pm Saturday:
- High Street From Broad Street to Rich Street
- West Town Street from West Front Street to South High Street
- East Town Street from South Third Street to the Columbus Commons Garage
- East Rich Street from High Street to South Third Street
The race will also have rolling road closures that will affect streets throughout the city from 7:30am to 12:30pm. For a full list of rolling road closures and closure times, click here.
The Central Ohio Transit Authority has also adjusted bus routes due to the half marathon. Reroutes affect all COTA lines operating in the downtown area, including CBUS, CMAX and AirConnect. On Saturday, all passenger transfers will be held at East Broad Street and Grant Avenue. CBUS will begin operating after 11am. For more information about COTA reroutes, click here.
