BUCKEYE LAKE, OH (WCMH) -- The annual Buckeye Lake BLASST Fourth of July event has been called off for 2018, according to Licking County Emergency Management.
The Buckeye Lake BLASST planning committee met with local public safety agencies on March 23 to review the event. The committee and the agencies determined the event should be canceled "as the ongoing construction creates safety challenges and concerns for those attending the event as well as first responders."
Licking County Emergency Management says the event is scheduled to return in 2019. This is the third consecutive year it has been cancelled.
Any questions should be directed to Sean Grady, director of Licking County Emergency Management.
