Video Podcasts Now Available!
nbc4i.com has been offering audio podcasts, but with the latest version of iPod that includes video, a new form of podcasting has emerged.
If you already subscribe to our nbc4i.com audio podcasts with iTunes version 6, all you have to do is subscribe to our new video podcast RSS feeds. Download and enjoy!
To subscribe to the NBC4i.com Podcast:
Make sure you have iTunes version 6.
To subscribe to our RSS feed in iTunes 6, go to the podcast directory in iTunes, and search for "NBC4i." Select the NBC 4 Podcast entries and hit the "Subscribe" button.
The NBC 4 Podcasts will appear under your normal podcast selections in the iTunes source window. Right-click it and select "Update Podcast," and iTunes will download nbc4i.com's clips.
That's it! Click the Get button next to the individual nbc4i.com podcasts you want, and they will download to your computer. You can play them on your desktop, or transfer them to your iPod.
Podcasting: What Is It?
In short, podcasts are MP3 audio files and MPEG-4 video files that are available to be downloaded onto your computer and transferred to an iPod or any portable media device that supports them. They can also be played right on your computer.
How Do I Get It?
Getting an nbc4i.com podcast is surprisingly easy -- and free! iTunes is a free music player that can be used on both Windows and Apple computers. Our podcasts are currently available in the iTunes directory. Simply click on "Podcasts" and search for "nbc4i.com."
Several free programs are also available online that will allow you to download the daily MP3 feeds. Here's a list of some popular podcast programs:

After you've downloaded a program, you'll be asked to enter a URL to subscribe to the podcast feed. In order to subscribe to an individual NBC4 Podcast, enter the following URLs:

After the download is complete, the individual podcasts will appear on your computer as an MP3 audio file or an MPEG-4 video file. You can listen or watch directly on your computer or load them onto your portable music player! Once you've downloaded a podcast program, the entire process of receiving the latest podcast should take less than a minute.
More NBC Podcasts
NBC Universal announced recently that current shows such as "Law & Order," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Office" will be available on iTunes for $1.99 an episode.
The lineup also includes cable shows such as "Monk" and "Battlestar Galactica," as well as older series such as "Dragnet" and "Knight Rider."
The shows can be downloaded the day after they air.
