Ryan Squire is the Managing Editor of NBC 4.
He began his career with NBC 4 in July 2001 as a photojournalist. With NBC 4, Ryan has also served as an assignment editor. Prior to joining the NBC 4 team, he was a photojournalist for WKBW-TV in Buffalo, N.Y.
Originally from Perrysburg, N.Y., Ryan graduated from Ashland University in 2000 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Electronic Media Production, Programming and Performance and Public Communications.
In 2003, Ryan won an Emmy award for his coverage of the 2003 Memorial Tournament. He said the most memorable story he ever covered was working as a photojournalist during Ohio State's victory at the 2003 National Championship game. Ryan is responsible for the footage of OSU Safety Michael Doss kneeling on the 50-yard line, raising his helmet in the air.
If Ryan wasn't a part of the television industry, he said he would likely be working in accounting or public relations. His first job was with McDonald's as a burger flipper.
Ryan lives in Westerville with his wife, Kristen, and their two children, Will and Anna. He is also active in the Knights of Columbus - Westerville, The Central Ohio Network (a social networking group) and Columbus social media.
