Matt Alvarez joined the NBC 4 staff as a reporter in October 2006.
Alvarez, a New Cumberland, Pa., native, graduated from Robert Morris University. He previously worked as a reporter at KJCT-TV in Grand Junction, Colo.
While in Colorado, Alvarez' most memorable stories were covering wildfires in that state and in Utah, along with state politics.
Matt also has worked with the Pennsylvania State Senate and interned with the Fox News Channel, in Washington.
Matt's first job was selling baseball hats and he said he would be a pilot if he weren't in television.
