Marshall McPeek

Marshall McPeek is the weekend morning meteorologist and co-anchor, and reporter for NBC 4.

He joined NBC 4 in January 2002.

Before joining Storm Team 4, Marshall worked as a weather anchor for WEWS-TV and as a weather anchor/reporter at WKYC-TV, both in Cleveland.

He also worked as an anchor/reporter for WTOL-TV in Toledo, Ohio, and WSIL-TV in Harrisburg, Ill.

Marshall earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Ohio University and a broadcast meteorology certificate from Mississippi State University.

Marshall has been nominated for two Emmy awards. The first nomination was for his series of reports from Adana, Turkey; the second for spot news coverage in Cleveland. He says that he feels like Susan Lucci, having lost both times.

He has also received several Ohio Associated Press awards.

He said the most memorable story he covered was the struggle against, and the devastation of, the Mississippi River flooding of 1993. He also listed following members of the Toledo Air National Guard to Incirlik AFB (Turkey) as they patrolled the no-fly zone over northern Iraq (reports were nominated for an Emmy Award).

Marshall grew up in Bucyrus, Ohio, where he landed his first broadcasting gig with WBCO-AM/WBCQ-FM (now WQEL) doing everything from news to disc jockey to live remotes at the Crawford County Fair.

Marshall is a big sushi fan, has a weakness for an enormous burrito and has been known to enjoy beverages served in stemware.
