COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus police are investigating an alleged attempted student abduction at a local school Tuesday morning.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Columbus police were called out to East High School, part of Columbus City Schools, at 1500 E. Broad St. close to 10 a.m.

A female student said a male tried to coax her into his black Ford Expedition Tuesday morning.

She said she said, “No!“ and took off running.

She said the male followed her for four blocks starting at Mt. Vernon Avenue and North 20th Street.

She arrived at school and reported the incident.

No more immediate details were available, but Columbus Public Schools hope to have a letter sent home with students once they find out details of the story.
