COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus police say a man has been charged with killing three people found shot to death in a duplex home nearly three months ago.
Police say 22-year-old Mandrell Kendricks was charged Tuesday with three counts of aggravated murder in the deaths of 36-year-old Franklin Walker, 27-year-old Markell Peaks and 27-year-old Carol Welch.
Their bodies were found Oct. 9 inside the home on the city’s west side. Police have described the killings as executions.
Kendricks was already being held in the Franklin County jail on one count of felonious assault in another shooting that occurred the same day the bodies were discovered. He has pleaded not guilty in that case.
A message seeking comment on the new charges was left for Kendricks’ attorney, James Rogers.
